Congratulations to Brit Vitalius, Greater Portland Board of Realtors REALTOR® of the Year!
Brit Vitalius has made a career selling multi-family properties in Greater Portland since he got into real estate in 2004. He founded Vitalius Real Estate Group in 2011 so that he could continue to focus on the multi-family market while assembling a group of professional brokers to provide a full complement of brokerage services to their clients.
"I am thrilled and honoured to be recognized as Greater Portland Board of Realtors "Realtor of the Year for 2022." Our community of Realtors is a wonderful group of people. I am proud to be a part this great organization and even happier to call many of these people friends. Realtors are in a special industry where we cooperate with our competitors and our success is enhanced by the quality of these relationships in trust and respect.I congratulate the other excellent professionals who are also being recognized this year. This amazing group of people speaks to the esteemed company I'm in and makes this honour that much more special - Glenna Irvine, Spirit Award, Eric Meadows, Leanne Barschdorf Nichols Visionary Leadership Award, Cynthia Chadwick-Grander of Bay Area Title, Affiliate of the Year Award"
Brit has served as President of the Southern Maine Landlord Association for more than a decade. He was a founding member of the Quality Housing Coalition, which focuses on opening-up market rate apartments to tenant populations that would otherwise struggle to compete for these units. Brit was on the core team in two separate political campaigns against rent control referenda in Portland - the first one they won, but the second time they lost. He currently serves as President of the Portland Community Chamber of Commerce, which gives him the opportunity to host "Eggs and Issues," Portland's premier business and networking event. He co-chairs the Greater Portland Board of Realtors LPAC Committee and sits on Maine Listing's Rental Database Task Force. Brit personally owns and manages multi-unit investments in Portland and Yarmouth.
Brit grew up in Yarmouth, Maine before he graduated from Harvard University in 1995. He worked in technology as a programmer and team manager at BBN, the company that developed the forerunner of the internet. Brit currently lives in Yarmouth with his wife, 13-year-old son, Coltrane and 11-year-old-daughter, Allegra. In his limited spare time, Brit enjoys mountain biking, skiing, tennis, and single malt scotch.
