Jan. 7, 4-7 pm: Good Food Awards | Maine Finalists Tasting Event at Rising Tide. Daymark, their American Pale Ale will be sampled for free. 103 Fox Street.

5:30-7:30 pm: Wine Tasting Thursday at Flock & Vine, 64 E Street, South Portland.

5:30-7:30 pm:  Food & Wine Discovery Series Part 1: Sparkling Wines at Sur Lie, 11 Free Street.

Jan. 8, 7:30-9: pm Maine Women’s Network – Boost Your Business Breakfast at Portland Country Club, 11 Foreside Rd., Falmouth.

Jan. 9, 6 pm: Pizza Night at Rosemont Market will be featuring 6 different kinds of pizza and fresh salad. Stop by Rosemont Market for a bottle of wine, beer or soda, as this is a BYOB night. 559 Brighton Ave.

Jan. 10, 5-7 pm: Yoga in the Brewhouse Join Allagash with their in-house yoga instructor, Sarah, for beer, yoga, and refreshments. 50 Industrial Way.

Jan. 12, 7:30 pm: Film: The Messenger (presented by Maine Audubon) at the Space Gallery, 538 Congress Street.

Jan. 13, 5:30-7:30 pm: 2 Degrees turns 5 at MECA’s new Bob Crewe Gallery. The newest gallery at MECA will help students explore the relationship between art and music. 522 Congress Street.

Jan. 14, 7-9 pm: “In the Round,” Hosted by Calen Perkins at Local Sprouts. Sip on a one of their house-made cocktails or the best warm chai tea while listening to local folk music. 649 Congress Street.

Jan. 16, 10:30 am-1:30 pm: Join Maine Foodie Tours on our flagship culinary walking tour! Our knowledgeable foodie guides will introduce you to the dining delights of Portland’s Old Port.

1 pm: The Children’s Museum is putting on a puppet show, “Kids on the Block: Superears and Bionic Legs.” Check out our troupe of life-sized educational puppets with real stories just like real kids! 142 Free Street.

Jan. 18, 8 pm: Bowie Birthday Bash at Flask Lounge. Drink specials and prize awarded for the best Bowie outfit. 117 Spring Street.

Jan. 19, 5:30-8:30 pm: The Honey Paw presents Anju & The Wallingford, 78 Middle Street.

6-9 pm: Ladies’ Absinthe Tasting at Vena’s Fizz House, 345 Fore Street.

Jan. 21, 5-9 pm: 2016 Ice Bar at Portland Harbor Hotel (Friday and Saturday night are sold out but there are still some tickets for Thursday night.) 468 Fore Street.

5-7 pm: Gas Light League’s Happy Hour at Lincoln’s Speakeasy. Bring cash and look carefully–it’s a bit hidden. 36 Market Street.

Jan. 23, 12:30-2:30 pm: WinterKids Welcome to Winter at Payson Park in Portland. Kids and families will enjoy great sledding, snowshoeing, ice skating, hot chocolate, healthy snacks, raffle prizes, warm winter giveaways, a warm welcome from city officials, and much more!

Jan. 27, 5:30-8:30 pm: Getting Braver on Your Website featuring social media strategist, Abbie McGilvery at Peloton Labs, 795 Congress Street.

Jan. 29, 6-8 pm: Ice skating, fire pits, s’mores, hot chocolate at Mill Creek Park in South Portland.

Jan. 30, 1-9 pm: On Tap Craft Beer Festival at Cross Insurance Arena, 45 Spring Street.

9 pm: The Awesome at Portland House of Music. If you haven’t seen the Awesome and you love 80s music, then this is your chance. 25 Temple St.
